Asteroid Storm App
I've always liked making games. I developed my first game on Scratch, before moving to a similar drag-and-drop based software called GameSalad. My ultimate goal was to create a game using Apple's Xcode software, but I struggled to overcome the initial learning barrier; it wasn't until around mid 2018 that I developed a decent enough understanding of coding to begin writing apps.
I figured my first Xcode project should be fun with simple mechanics as to not overwhelm myself. I created Asteroid Storm, a hyper casual game built around a stationary tap-to-shoot mechanic. All of the sprites and game art was designed myself using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The app was published on the iOS App store (no longer available) with the following description:

In Asteroid Storm, you:
- Destroy falling asteroids before they reach Earth
- Obtain unique power-ups to increase your destructive capabilities
- Hold off the asteroid storm for as long as possible and compete with your friends for the highest score
